Bargain Hunting: Week 15 Value and Where to Find It

Week 11 Value

Sadly there are only three main slates remaining in the NFL season. This week’s slate is also without three of the best teams we have seen this season with no Rams, Chiefs or Saints. This means no high priced Todd Gurley or the playmaking Alvin Kamara to pay up for. With that said, let’s get into the Week 15 value on both sites.

QUARTERBACK – Dak Prescott

12th Priced Quarterback on Fanduel ($7,300 out of $60,000)

12th Priced Quarterback on Draftkings ($5,500 out of $50,000)

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys continue to surge toward an NFC East title berth. With an overtime win over the Eagles last Sunday, they will look to stay hot on the road in Indianapolis. The Colts do not own a menacing defense and I do not see them getting in the way of the Cowboys this Sunday. Dak Prescott has looked more and more like the quarterback we saw in his rookie season ever since the Amari Cooper trade. The higher dollar options at quarterback are not inspiring this week so paying down for a guy like Prescott is probably a viable strategy. Rushing upside, check. Dome game, check. Low price, check.

RUNNING BACK – Joe Mixon

5th Priced Running Back on Fanduel ($7,800 out of $60,000)

9th Priced Running Back on Draftkings ($6,100 out of $50,000)

Joe Mixon has been having somewhat of an underrated season. His name seems to get lost in the shuffle when talking about other running backs such as Christian Mccaffrey or Saquon Barkley. With most of the offensive firepower out of the equation for Cincinnati, Joe Mixon and Tyler Boyd will be doing the heavy lifting for the remainder of the season. Last week we saw Mixon shine carrying the ball 26 times for 111 yards and adding 5 catches for 27. This week he will get an Oakland team that has all but given up on this season. Fanduel quickly adjusted Mixon’s price, but $6,100 feels like a discount on Draftkings.

WIDE RECEIVER –  Tyler Boyd

15th Priced Wide Receiver on Fanduel ($6,700 out of $60,000)

14th Priced Wide Receiver on Draftkings ($5,700 out of $50,000)

We are staying right on the Bengals theme here with the focus shifting to Tyler Boyd. Boyd has had somewhat of a coming out party this season for the Bengals. Over his last 4 games Boyd is averaging just over 8 targets and has the chance to be a bit more productive with his opportunities this week against Oakland. This week it looks like Boyd will be matching up with Raiders rookie cornerback Nick Nelson in the slot. He should have no problem taking advantage of this soft matchup. For those of you who are really looking to save at the receiver position, John Ross could be another solid option. He is only $4,000 on Draftkings and $5,600 on Fanduel.

TIGHT END – Vernon Davis

12th Priced Tight End on Fanduel ($5,300 out of $60,000)

14th Priced Tight End on Draftkings ($3,200 out of $50,000)

With the news that Jordan Reed is officially out for this Sunday’s game, it will be Vernon Davis who does the majority of the tight end work for the Redskins. Davis has not done much this season mainly because Jordan Reed has been able to stay healthy. Reed has been able to participate in every game this season up until this Sunday. This will afford Vernon Davis  almost every look at tight end after playing 79% of the snaps last Sunday. Davis was able to record 4 catches on 4 targets for 31 yards against the Giants with his new found opportunities.

DEFENSE – Buffalo Bills

4th Priced Defense on Fanduel ($4,200 out of $60,000)

6th Priced Defense on Draftkings ($2,800 out of $50,000)

This all of a sudden exciting Bills team will welcome the Detroit Lions into town this Sunday. We have seen this Lions team slowly become a shell of itself. They started the season with a three-monster at receiver and a promising rookie running back. Fast forward to now and they have banged up Matthew Stafford, an old Legarrette Blount running the rock and only Kenny Golladay left to catch passes. The Bills should be able to get the job done this Sunday. Their price on Draftkings too good to pass up.
