If you’re reading this it means that you have a problem. Yes, you too are so deep into fantasy that normal offense-only fantasy just wasn’t doing it for you anymore. That, or maybe you’re a bitter offense-only type guy whose league dragged you into this crap, and now you’re scrambling for any IDP rookie rankings or content you can find…
Either way, I still love you. Not really, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m here to help.
Whether you’re in a brand new startup dynasty, your first IDP re-draft league, or somewhere in between I hope you find these IDP rookie rankings helpful.
Where to begin, though, in my explanation behind such a list? The beginning? Okay, genius.
There are a billion different types of formats when it comes to IDP fantasy football. There are tackle-heavy formats, big-play formats, positional premiums, and all sorts of variations when it comes to starting lineup requirements. Well, I did my best to make sure these ranks can apply to any format out there.
You’ll notice that linebackers are kind of a big deal. You may also notice I’m not too high on DBs. There’s a reason for that in IDP fantasy. If you want to know why, just ask me via comments or on Twitter because I have no time for the lengthy explanation now. I got you. Just don’t want to bore you if you already know what’s going on here.
Simply put, if players have massive talent, have massive opportunity, or perhaps both they were ranked pretty high. If they have injury history or concerns in the near future I tried to pack that into their rank as well.
If you have specific deeper questions on certain players, why they’re ranked the way they are, and why on earth I have them above “your guy” feel free to rant to me. For real, when it comes to IDP, we’re all just trying to figure this thing out.
Find me on Twitter @FF_TravisM. I’m your guy for all things fantasy, but especially IDP. Enjoy!
