DraftKings Week 17 GPP Plays

draftkings week 17 drew lock

Welcome back to my DraftKings Week 17 GPP plays! Let’s keep this train rolling. My sole focus is to help you identify the best team stacks to push you ahead in tournaments. I’ll select a few potentially low-owned GPP plays as well, primarily on DraftKings. I’ll also be referencing various tools I use from sites such as 4for4.comProFootballFocus.comFootball Outsiders and Establishtherun.com. These sites have some of the best tools and insights in the industry. My overall goal here is to help you come to your own logical conclusions, trust yourself, and develop your own process. At the end of the day, you make the final decisions. You must hold yourselves accountable. It’s the only way we’re going to learn and improve our game. So, let’s plant our flag, not waiver on convictions, and start winning some money! Let’s look at some of the top DraftKings Week 17 stacks and GPP plays!

PLEASE NOTE: I’m handling things a bit differently for week 17 because in some situations this final week can be the equivalent of a preseason game. That’s due to many different factors such as playoff implications, teams playing for nothing and holding out their starter’s, injuries, etc. Instead of breaking down one specific player at each position, I’ll briefly discuss a handful of teams that I have my eyes on.

Tennessee Titans

  • The Titans are in a very interesting spot. They face off against a Texans team that’s playing for seeding, but they can’t go higher than the number three spot which will likely be locked up by the Chiefs. Texans coach Bill O’Brien claims his starters will play, but its truly too difficult to gauge how much if at all, they might play. What does this all translate to? All systems go, most notably for Derrick Henry ($8.1k) and Ryan Tannehill ($6.8k) and A.J. Brown ($7k). I guess you could also throw Jonnu Smith in there. With Sunday being a HUGE fifteen game slate there no reason to be worried about ownership. Also note that the Texans defense is already in shambles. Imagine that they rest THOSE players and start their backups. YIKES.

New York Giants

  • The Giants take on the Eagles in a game that could potentially be a “balls to the wall” back and forth slugfest. The Giants have Daniel ($6.4k) Jones back, Barkley ($8.7k) is FINALLY catching fire, and the Eagles MUST WIN in order to lock up the division. Both teams will be highly motivated. I really like the idea of not only double stacking Danny Dimes with Barkley and Golden Tate ($5.1k) or Darius Slayton ($4.9k), but game stacking and throwing Dallas Goedert ($4.9k) or Miles Sanders ($6.8k) in the mix. If this game turns into a Bengals/Dolphins game situation, you’ll be sitting pretty.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Speaking of the Bengals I think they’re in a good spot against 2019 hype machine failure Cleveland Browns. The Bengals have already locked up the number one draft pick. They’re playing for nothing and the Browns stopped playing somewhere during the middle of the season. I don’t expect starters to rest in this one. Andy Dalton ($5.9k) has returned as the starter. Joe Mixon ($7.2k) has exploded and Tyler Boyd ($6.7k) is looking to close out a strong season. I like all three of these plays and you could even make things interesting by using Tyler Eifert ($3.4k). Not saying the Bengals will repeat what they did last week, but points can be had here, and I don’t expect these players to be highly owned.

Denver Broncos

  • On the surface, a Raiders/Broncos meaningless game sounds terrible. That’s because it is. But fantasy-wise, we want ALL the Broncos. Drew Lock ($5.8k), Courtland Sutton ($6.4k), Phillip Lindsay ($6.1k), and Noah Fant ($3.6k) are all in play. The Raiders defense was competitive early in the year but has fallen to the bottom ten in both Pass and Rush DVOA, per Football Outsiders. I expect the Broncos to go out on a high note. The Raiders might get involved with guys like Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller, but I fully expect the Broncos to dominate this game on both sides of the ball which makes the Broncos defense ($3.3k) a great play as well.
