Week 7 Fantasy Forecast

julio jones NFC south training camp update

We are just beyond the halfway point of the fantasy regular season. By now, your team has been affected by the turbulence caused by injuries and bye-weeks. This weeks’ Fantasy Forecast is here to comfort you as you ride the waves of the season and win in Week 7.

Clear Skies (Favorable Schedule)

Julio Jones

Next Four Opponents: @NE, @NYJ, @CAR, DAL

Some of you have been frustrated with Julio Jones’ numbers to this point and rightfully so. The 6’3″ stud has yet to find the end zone this season. His coach, Dan Quinn has also expressed frustration but not in Jones but rather the lack of usage. Get ready to see Julio in the painted turf as he faces the league’s worst defense against WRs this week along with no top 10 secondaries over the next month.

Dak Prescott

Next Four Opponents: @SF, @WSH, KC, @ATL

With the suspension of Ezekiel Elliot reinstated, expect Dak to air it out a little more as he shown the ability to do. He faces a weak pass defense this week and has the potential to be in 3 consecutive shootout games in friendly weather conditions.

Low Pressure (Buy Low)

Amari Cooper

Next Four Opponents: KC, @BUF, @MIA, NE

Amari Cooper has put up 2 or fewer catches in 3 games this season. He is coming off back-to-back 1,000 -yard seasons and has Derek Carr back in the fold. All the talent in the world is there and good matchups await. You can probably get him for next to nothing in a trade so why not roll the dice on the former 4th overall pick.

DeMarco Murray

Next Five Opponents: @CLE, BYE, BAL, CIN, @PIT, @IND

DeMarco Murray has lost some playing time this year but is still the feature back behind a good offensive line. Impatient owners who watched Derrick Henry rip off 131 yards on Monday night may be ready to move on from D-Money. He is about to face some poor run defenses and the return of Mariota will increase Murray’s value.

Cold Front (Tough Schedule)

T.Y. Hilton

Next Four Opponents: JAX, @CIN, @HOU, PIT

Hilton has been the ultimate boom-or-bust wideout thanks to the inconsistency of the Colts’ quarterback play. Hilton won’t get Andrew Luck back anytime soon and has to face Jalen Ramsey and Co. this week and 3 top-10 pass defenses over the next 4 weeks. Hilton is always a big-play threat and you most likely won’t be sitting him, but temper the expectations just a bit.

Evacuation Warning (Drop)

Jamison Crowder

Next Four Opponents: @PHI, DAL, @SEA, MIN

Jamison Crowder was considered to be a high-end WR3 in the draft but has failed to live up to those expectations. He has 3 catches or fewer in 3 of his 5 games. His limited measurables and rise of other pass-catchers have hurt his upside. With some tough matchups on the horizon, it is time to jump ship.
